I think valuing self means to not put yourself down and not to follow anyone elses opinions. Not valuing yourself is like smoking because everyone else is, and valuing yourself is believing in yourself!!!
for example if you were the goalie in soccer and you missed it you wouldn't dis yourself and make yourself feel bad you would say something along the lines of " O well I tried my best and thats all I can do so it really doesn't matter".
like if you missed a goal in soccer you would say to yourself " I tried my hardest and if that isn't good enough for others then they are obviously not a good team member".

i think valuing self means that you write how you thought you went on your project hence the words valuing self
I think it means to not put your self down, to beleive in yourself and to think your speical!!!
I think it means to build youreslf up and think that you have done a great job instead of tearing yourself down and thinking your awful.
